If you’ve seen my reviews before, it’s no surprise I favor beard oils that smell like expensive colognes, that’s my thing. That also happens to be Beard Justice’s thing too. If you haven’t heard of Beard Justice before, well I’m about to rock your world!
Beard Justice’s scents are inspired by some of the most popular colognes on the market and they do an amazing job creating their own scents inspired from well these known colognes. I’m not really going out on a limb when I say this, but cologne scent wise, there is probably no a better company out there! Beard Justice may be the pinnacle of cologne scented beard oils.
Note: I just want to stress the fact, this is not a paid review. I never ask for any compensation for any of my reviews nor do I make any money if you purchase their products. My reviews are my straight up opinions. Beard Justice earned this praise, straight up!
So far I’ve been lucky enough to test 8 of their scents and picking a favorite turned out to be incredibly difficult. All of their scents have been that good! I wear a different one every day and am never disappointed. However what’s the point of a ranking list if there is no a number one, no millennial participation trophies here gentleman!
My favorite scent was Double Jeopardy. Double jeopardy was not only my number on scent by Beard Justice, it is also the current number one on my Best Smelling Beard Oils list and number one on the Best Cologne Scented Beard Oils list.
Double Jeopardy was designed around modern woody nuances. Beard Justice describes the scent as fresh and spicy accords of green mandarin, pink pepper, nutmeg and birch leaves while settling into a heart of cedar, patchouli and vetiver. Double Jeopardy is similar to the Gentleman Only cologne.
My next favorite scent was Chin Music. Chin Music was inspired by the Acqua Di Gio cologne by Giorgio Armani. Chin music is an aquatic fragrance that opens with a splash of fresh, calabrian bergamot, neroli and green tangerine. Light, aquatic nuances mix with jasmine fragrance, crisp rock rose, rosemary, fruity persimmon and warm Indonesian patchouli. Chin Music is a really close second!
The one thing I love about the scents from Beard Justice they are strong and they last all dang day! Twelve hours after I put it in, I am still catching whiffs of this scent as the wind would blow through my beard.
Then there is Pillow Talk, another scent that was a close first. Pillow Talk was inspired after Chrome cologne by Azzaro. Beard Justice says this is a great spring or summer time scent, but honestly this is a year round, everyday scent to me. It’s scent is described as top notes are rosemary, pineapple, neroli, bergamot and lemon. Middle notes are cyclamen, coriander, jasmine and oakmoss. Base notes are sandalwood, tonka bean, oakmoss, cedar, brazilian rosewood and cardamom. Simply put, its superb!
The Verdict beard oil has a heart of sensual spices like chilli and saffron with the all-masculine roundness of leather and tobacco, along with the distinguished brute strength of vetiver. It is very explosive, fusing fresh zesty notes of bergamot and grapefruit, while cold spices of elemi and pink pepper leave the mark of their icy bite. The Verdict is similar to the cologne Spicebomb.
Looking for a fresh and sharp, simple but very masculine scent? Then The Acquittal will be your jam. It has top notes include mint and green nuances, lavender, coriander and rosemary. The heart notes include geranium, neroli, jasmine and sandalwood. The base is composed of cedarwood, musk, amber and tobacco. It is similar to the very popular cologne, Cool Water.
Mister Frost is Beard Justice’s take on Black Orchid by Tom Ford. When I smell this beard oil, it just gives me the impression of a man who is powerful, wealthy, well dressed and sophisticated. It’s smooth and intoxicating all at the same time.
I’m sure you have heard to the classic lady killer, Drakkar Noir. No Contest is the scent inspired by this masterpiece. It truly is an awesome fragrance! This scent stays strong in my beard all day long and is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
The scent is like a combination of lavender, oakmoss and leather with some hints of pine, fur and sandalwood. It’s very well blended and hard to pick out the individual fragrances that make it up.
The final scent tested was Birthday Suit. Birthday Suit balances a moderate, warm tone with a complex variety of notes. It blends white sage, amber, fig leaf and cucumber with green mango, cedarwood, and juniper. Birthday Suit is fresh and clean while still coming across as very masculine. This scent was not quite as strong as the others, but overall still very nice and has a similar scent to Paris Hilton for Men.
I really mean it when I say that on any given day, any one of these scents could realistically be considered the number one beard oil scent out there. They are all so well done you will not be disappointed with any one of them!
